What an amazing April it has been. One week we were pitching at Sweden Demo Day, and the next we were on our way to the other side of the world.

So, why fly to China? Well, one reason was to source our final supplier for manufacturing the EcoGarden. The other was to compete in the Global Student Entrepreneur’s Award.

If you follow the Ecobloom blog, you’ll know that our CEO, Hamza, won the Swedish national final a couple months ago. This qualified him for the global finals in China where he competed against the brightest entrepreneurs from more than 52 countries.

“It was TOUGH! And to be honest, a bit nerve racking as well,” said Hamza. “Hundreds of people, investors and world-renowned entrepreneurs — all watching you, listening to your story and grading your performance.”

That didn’t deter our fearless leader, though. In fact, he won the semifinals and made it to the top 7 global entrepreneurs.

“This is one of my greatest, if not THE greatest, personal achievement in my life,” he said upon his return. “It’s been amazing, and I must say, this would never have been possible without all of our amazing supporters!”
