Hey Ecobloomers! We’re back with our next post in the Meet The Team blog series, where we’ve been featuring weekly Q&As from the team members at Ecobloom. We hope the series has been fun to read and helped you to get to know us better. Up this week is Marketing Manager, Kirsten Keefe…aka me! The writer behind many of the posts you read on this here blog. So without further ado, it’s time for me to answer questions that I ask myself.

kirsten keefe

What is your name?
Kirsten Keefe

What is your background? Where are you from?
I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota! Technically I’m 25% Swedish so I guess I’m a little bit from here too. My university degree is in Marketing and I’m also certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

What is your role at Ecobloom? Describe it as if you were describing it to a 5-year old (2 sentences or less).
I’m the marketing manager – I get people to like us and want to be friends with us!

What is your favorite memory from your time at Ecobloom thus far?
I got to attend the EIT Food Accelerator workshop in Bilbao, Spain last week, and loved my experience there. Got to meet so many inspiring people, learn lots and visit a beautiful city!

If you were an herb, which one would you be, and why?
Hmm does Lavender count as an herb? I love lavender. It smells so good and it really helps to calm me down when I’m feeling stressed.

What is your favorite thing about the Ecogarden?
I’m all about symbiotic environments. When I did my Nutritional Therapy training we learned about the delicate ecosystems of the earth and how plants and animals work best together to create a healthy earth. I love that the EcoGarden has taken this age-old wisdom and bottled it into a Stockholm apartment-sized capsule. I also think the design is pretty 🙂

Where would you like to take a business trip someday?
I would love to go to Asia!

What is your favorite place in Stockholm to work offsite? Have an afterwork? Grab coffee?
I like to work at Johan & Nystrom, they have the best coffee and tea in Stockholm, in my opinion. There’s also a great atmosphere at Epicenter where we usually work, they have a stuffed animal corner which comes in pretty handy at times… My favorite afterwork spot is Barrels, just down the street from us. Burgers, beer (gluten-free for me), sweet potato fries… what more could a girl ask for?

What is a personal hobby of yours that your coworkers would be surprised to know about?
I love to read. Maybe not surprising but I have an e-reader and I’m constantly reading on the tunnelbana, waiting for appts, etc. I read close to one book every week.

What are you most looking forward to happening at Ecobloom in the future?
I can’t wait to launch the EcoGarden and keep refining our strategy and growing our customer base! We have an amazing product and I can’t wait for the world to fall in love with it as much as I have!

Thanks for helping us to get to know you better, Kirsten! We’re off to get a burger at Barrels now…
