It’s Friday and that means it’s time for the 4th Edition of the Meet the Team Blog series, a weekly series where we feature Q&As from the Ecobloom team. We’re over halfway done now, so if you’ve missed the first few posts, be sure to check them out here. But now, time to meet with Lead Engineer, Zhengrong – let’s get started!
What is your name?
Zhengrong Yi
What is your background? Where are you from?
Information and Network Engineering. China.
What is your role at Ecobloom? Describe it as if you were describing it to a 5-year old (2 sentences or less).
I am the Lead Engineer at Ecobloom, working with the latest technology to explore potential future applications.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Ecobloom thus far?
A funny memory. When Hamza got his first drone, we couldn’t wait to test it in the meeting room and were freaked out.
What is the best thing about working for a start-up?
Communication is valued a lot at Ecobloom. Hamza always asks me if there is anything he can help with. When we encounter challenges or problems, we can directly tell him and quickly get his feedback and support.
What are you most looking forward to happening at Ecobloom in the future?
I’m looking forward to Ecobloom becoming a solution provider and global player within the agricultural space.
If you were an herb, which one would you be, and why?
Cilantro. Because it is perfect for some Chinese cuisines which I love.
What is your favorite thing about the Ecogarden?
The herbs are ready and handy for use all the time.
Where would you like to take a business trip someday?
Göteborg. Haven’t had a chance to visit there yet.
