Ecobloom Awarded Grant to Advance AI Innovation in High-Wire Crop Production

Ecobloom Technologies is proud to announce that we have received a grant from Jordbruksverket (the Swedish Board of Agriculture) to launch a new innovation project focused on advancing the use of artificial intelligence in high-wire crop production, including tomatoes, cucumbers, and other controlled-environment crops.

High-wire cultivation plays a critical role in modern indoor farming, greenhouse production, and controlled-environment agriculture (CEA). However, it also presents complex challenges: maintaining optimal plant balance, managing climate variability, responding to early signs of stress, and ensuring consistent yields at scale. This innovation project aims to further investigate how AI-driven monitoring, data analysis, and predictive insights can support growers in managing these challenges more effectively.

Through this project, Ecobloom will explore how AI can be applied to interpret real-time data from plants and their environment, detect early indicators of stress or imbalance, and support faster, more informed decision-making. The goal is to help growers reduce crop losses, improve consistency, and increase operational efficiency, outcomes that are increasingly important for farm owners, investors, and decision-makers navigating tight margins and rising production costs.

The grant supports innovation work, collaboration, and technical development, allowing us to deepen our research and validate approaches that can later be scaled across commercial operations. It also reflects a broader industry shift toward data-driven agriculture, where technology complements agronomic expertise to build more resilient and sustainable food systems.
